2007 Educator of the Year Edward Pangburn
Elementary Teachers Note:
The Center for Civic Education will conduct two national institutes for
elementary teachers. One from July 5-12, 2009 and the
other from July 12-19, 2009. The institutes will be held on the
beautiful James Madison campus in Harrisonburg, Virginia. We encourage
our We the People teachers to apply. This is a wonderful,

Yavner Award 2008
The Board of
Regents invites nominations for the Louis E. Yavner Teaching and Citizen
Awards for 2008. These
awards provide recognition of a teacher and a citizen who have made
outstanding contributions to New York State education about the
Holocaust and other violations of human rights. Click
